Two of the most frequently asked questions patients often ask us are "How much will this
procedure cost?" and "Will my insurance cover it?"
Insurance Coverage
Typically, plastic surgery is covered by insurance only if there is a medical need for it.
Most health insurance policies cover reconstructive surgery, although the extent of
coverage varies from one policy to the next.
Healthcare policies typically do not cover elective cosmetic surgery, because it is not
considered a medical necessity. Yet, there are times when there may be a medical need
for "cosmetic" surgery. Our staff can help you determine whether all or part of your
surgery can be covered by your insurance.
In the case of partial coverage, you will be responsible for the difference between the
covered amount and our fee as well as for any deductible or co-payments. We ask that
all insurance accounts be paid in full within 60 days.
Fees
Our fees are generally comparable with those of other plastic surgeons in our geographic
area. For each procedure, Augusta Plastic Surgery charges a comprehensive fee that
includes many valuable services and top-quality care. We will discuss specific fees with you during your private consultation.
Financing Plastic Surgery
At your consultation, we will provide you with all the information you need to make an
informed decision about how to pay for surgery. In addition to accepting American
Express, MasterCard, Discover and Visa, we offer financing through Capital One.
