A non-surgical nose job uses filler to add volume in specific areas, which visually reshapes the nose. It is well suited to:
Because filler adds volume, it cannot shrink a nose. Patients should seek a surgical rhinoplasty specialist if they want to reduce overall nose size, narrow wide nostrils, correct a deviated septum or breathing obstruction, or make a permanent structural change. Augusta Plastic Surgery specializes in non-surgical nose reshaping only — if you need surgical rhinoplasty, we’ll point you toward a regional specialist.
You may be a candidate for liquid rhinoplasty if you are at least 18 years old and in good general health, have realistic expectations about what filler can and cannot change, want a temporary and reversible result, and have minor cosmetic concerns such as a small bump, slight asymmetry, a low bridge, or a drooping tip. Patients who have had a prior surgical rhinoplasty may have altered blood supply to the nasal skin, which can increase the risk of vascular complications — tell us at your consultation if this applies to you.
We use only reversible hyaluronic-acid fillers in the nose (never permanent or semi-permanent products). At Augusta Plastic Surgery we typically use Juvederm Voluma or Juvederm Vollure, chosen based on your anatomy and goals. Both are FDA-approved and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed.
Most patients go straight back to work or errands after the appointment. You may have mild redness, small injection-point marks, and localized swelling for 1–3 days. Results are visible immediately and settle into final shape at about two weeks. Avoid pressing, massaging, or rubbing the treated area for 72 hours. Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot yoga, and alcohol for 24 hours. Do not wear glasses that rest on the bridge for 1–2 weeks if the bridge was treated — pressure can displace filler. Call us immediately if you notice severe pain, skin color changes (whitening or purple mottling), or vision changes.
The nose is supplied by small end-arteries that share territory with the blood supply to the eye. In rare cases, filler injected into or compressing one of these vessels can cause skin necrosis or vision changes. These risks are minimized by using reversible hyaluronic-acid filler exclusively, keeping hyaluronidase on hand for immediate reversal, and following strict vascular-safety protocols.
At Augusta Plastic Surgery, liquid rhinoplasty is performed by our board-certified plastic surgeons — Dr. Christopher J. Ewart and Dr. Michael S. Tarakji — or by senior RN injectors who have completed advanced aesthetic injection training and work under direct physician oversight at our QUAD A accredited facility.
We ask patients to avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot environments for 24 hours. Flying the next day is generally fine. Avoid wearing glasses that rest on the bridge for one to two weeks if the bridge was treated.
Most patients describe it as a brief pinching sensation. We apply topical numbing cream before the injection, and the Juvederm fillers we use also contain lidocaine, so discomfort is usually mild and short-lived.
Results from hyaluronic-acid filler in the nose typically last 9 to 18 months. Because the nose moves less than other injected areas, results often last a bit longer than the same filler used in the lips or cheeks.
No. Liquid rhinoplasty can add volume to camouflage bumps, lift the tip, or correct mild asymmetry, but it cannot reduce the size of the nose, narrow the nostrils, or fix a breathing problem. Patients who need those changes should seek a surgical rhinoplasty specialist. Augusta Plastic Surgery does not perform surgical rhinoplasty.
Yes. We use only hyaluronic-acid fillers (Juvederm Voluma or Vollure), which can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if you don’t like the result or if a complication occurs. This reversibility is one of the main reasons we never use permanent fillers in the nose.
At Augusta Plastic Surgery, liquid rhinoplasty starts at $800 per syringe, and most patients need one syringe to achieve their desired result. Exact pricing is confirmed during your in-person consultation. We accept CareCredit, PatientFi, and Cherry financing.
We use Juvederm Voluma and Juvederm Vollure, both FDA-approved hyaluronic-acid fillers from Allergan. Your injector will recommend the specific product based on your anatomy and goals at your consultation. Both fillers are fully reversible with hyaluronidase.
