Am I a good candidate for Botox?
Botox temporarily relaxes facial muscles to smooth dynamic wrinkles — lines that form from repeated facial expressions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Dynamic wrinkles: Crow’s feet, forehead lines, and frown lines (the “11s”)
- Age: Typically 25-65+. “Preventive Botox” in the late 20s is increasingly popular
- Good health: No neuromuscular disorders (e.g., myasthenia gravis)
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Realistic expectations: Botox softens expression lines but doesn’t fix volume loss or skin laxity (that’s where fillers and other treatments come in)

Not appropriate with a neuromuscular disease, pregnancy/breastfeeding, active infection at the injection site, or known allergy to botulinum toxin.

Are Botox results instant?
In general, patients can start to see results as early as 3 to 4 days after injections, but for most patients, results will start 10 to 14 days after treatment.
Can Botox help with migraines?
Botox injections have been shown to reduce migraine headaches and related symptoms such as nausea, sensitivity to light sounds and smells. Patients typically will see improvement 10-14 days after injection.
Do we offer lip flips?
Yes, we offer lip flips for $11-$12 per unit. This helps create a more visual upper lip. This may help someone with a smaller upper lip. A patient will need anywhere from 2-4 units of Botox.
Does it matter who injects my Botox?
Yes — more than the product itself. Botox is the same vial everywhere; the result depends on the injector’s knowledge of facial anatomy, dosing judgment, and what happens if something goes wrong. Questions worth asking anywhere you go: Who trained the injector? What physician supervises, what is their specialty, and how available are they? What is the plan if there is a complication?

How is Botox charged… by area or by unit?
Not all injectable areas are created equal and not all patients need the same number of units. This is why we only charge per unit rather than per area. This allows ours patients to receive a more customized approach at dosing by only charging patients for the total amount of units needed.
Is Botox painful?
Botox injections can be virtually painless. The injections are very quick and with a trained medical professional, you may not even notice it.
What happens when you stop using Botox?
Botox works by stopping muscle movement that causes wrinkles to develop. So, when the use of Botox subsides, the lines in your face will return. Subsiding the use will not make the lines worse than what they were before the procedure, neither will it make it better.
What is a liquid face lift?
A liquid face lift is the art of combining Botox and Filler products to provide the patient with lift and rejuvenation. By targeting mid-face volume loss and then focusing on filling and softening shadows, valleys, and fine lines we mimic results only gained by surgical procedures.
What is Botox?
- Botox is neurotoxin that acts by blocking muscle movement in areas of expression that cause wrinkles.

What is recovery like after Botox?
Botox has virtually no downtime, which is one of its biggest advantages. Most patients return to normal activities immediately after treatment.
Immediately After: Hours 0-4
- Small red bumps at injection sites resolve within 20-60 minutes
- Resume normal activities immediately — the “lunchtime procedure”
- Avoid rubbing or massaging treated areas for 4 hours
- Stay upright for 4 hours; avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
Days 1-3: Initial Phase
Slight bruising possible at injection sites. A mild headache may occur and resolves within 24-48 hours. Results are not visible yet — Botox takes time to work.
Days 3-7: Results Begin
Muscles start to relax and wrinkles soften.
Days 7-14: Full Results
Full effect visible at 10-14 days. If a touch-up is needed, it’s performed at the 2-week mark.
Months 3-4: Gradual Fade
Muscle movement gradually returns; most patients schedule their next appointment at this point. Regular maintenance keeps wrinkles from returning to their pre-treatment depth.
Tips: skip alcohol for 24 hours, avoid heat exposure (sauna, hot yoga) for 24 hours, and schedule your next session before results fully wear off.

What is the difference between a med spa and a plastic surgery practice for injectables?
Both can deliver excellent results, and every med spa in Georgia is required to have a physician medical director. The differences worth understanding: the supervising physician’s specialty (at some med spas it is a physician from another field, such as internal medicine or anesthesiology; at a plastic surgery practice, it is surgeons whose specialty is the face), how involved and available that physician is, and the range of alternatives on offer — a practice that also performs surgery and laser treatments can tell you honestly when filler is not the best tool for your goal.
